Teaser Released for the Film ‘Dharpakad’: “Where did the money in your bank account go?” – Unmasking the terrifying Digital Arrest scam

Ahmedabad:The official teaser for the Gujarati film ‘Dharpakad’, India’s first movie based on the concept of ‘Digital Arrest’, was released today. The 1-minute and 5-second teaser is spine-chilling, presenting the grim reality of the rising cybercrimes in today’s age.

The teaser begins with scenes depicting the helplessness and financial struggles of a middle-class family. Leading actor Mallhar Thakar is heard delivering an emotional and intense dialogue: “In your entire career, did you only earn enough that you couldn’t even save one person’s life?” The most shocking twist occurs when the bank account shows ‘Insufficient Balance,’ leading to the haunting question – “If the money isn’t there, where did it go, Dad?”

The teaser further illustrates how scammers hide within the dark web and manipulate ordinary people into believing their lies are the absolute truth. A mysterious phone call at the end of the teaser, stating, “We have arrested your son,” intensifies the film’s gravity and suspense.

Directed by Anish Shah, the film features Mallhar Thakar and Shruhad Goswami together on screen for the first time. They are supported by a strong cast, including Prashant Barot, Pratik Rathod, and Jay Bhatt. Produced under the banners of Indira Motion Pictures and November Films, the movie explores facets of cyber fraud that one could hardly imagine.
