GCS Medical College, Hospital, and Research Centre, located in the eastern part of Ahmedabad, has announced the city’s most advanced destination for cancer treatment. According to GCS Hospital COO Dr. JagdishKhoyani and Radiation Oncologist Dr. ChinmaykumarPrajapati, GCS Hospital has now become the only private medical college in Ahmedabad to house PET-CT scan and advanced radiation therapy facilities within its own campus.
At GCS, complete cancer care—from diagnosis to full treatment—is available under one roof. This includes PET-CT, CT scan, all types of cancer surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and palliative care. For this purpose, a dedicated Cancer Care Campus spread over 5,400 square meters has been established, operating exclusively for the specialized care of cancer patients.
The hospital features the cutting-edge ‘TrueBeam’ technology, which targets cancer cells with high precision, ensuring patient safety and rapid recovery. A team of expert doctors from various departments, including Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, and Nuclear Medicine, serves at this center.
In the interest of public welfare, all cancer treatments are provided completely free of charge to eligible patients under the Ayushman Bharat (PMJAY) scheme. Importantly, patients who do not possess an Ayushman card will also be provided treatment at subsidized rates as per the PMJAY package rates, without any additional charges. Furthermore, cashless treatment facilities are also available under various TPAs and government schemes.
