International Arya Sammelan starts in Delhi; Hon’ble PM to inaugurate tomorrow

- Witnesses first ever 11,111 Yagya done by Arya women and girls
- Distributes scholarships worth Rs 1.25cr for deserving children from underserved communities
Surat, October 30, 2025: In a historic spiritual initiative, Arya Samaj has performed 11,111 Yagnas (Vedic fire rituals) during its International Arya Maha Sammelan, marking one of the largest collective Yagna ceremonies in modern times. Delegates from across India and abroad participated in this landmark effort aimed at fostering global peace (VasudhaivaKutumbakam), environmental balance, and spiritual awakening.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. S.K. Arya, Chairman, Gyan Jyoti Parv, said:“The number 11,111 holds deep Vedic symbolism – it represents the five elements of nature and the eternal oneness of creation. Through these Yagnas, Arya Samaj seeks to purify both the inner and outer worlds, reviving the ancient Vedic message of peace, unity, and righteous living. This is a moment of pride and reflection – Bharat’s self-respect is awakening, and our youth today feel proud to call themselves Indian.”
Highlighting Arya Samaj’s renewed focus on education, Mr. Vidya Bhushan Verma, representing Arya Samaj’s US affiliates, announced:“In the last three years, over ₹2.5 crore has been donated towards scholarships for underprivileged students. This year, an additional ₹1.3 crore has been earmarked, and 330 more students will receive this privilege under the Arya Pragati Scholarship. Our mission is to connect young minds to India’s proud history, values, and knowledge systems — ensuring that education becomes the bridge between heritage and progress.”
On this occasion, entire Arya Sabha family paid heartfelt tribute to late Shri Suresh Chandra Arya,President, Sarvadeshik Arya Pratinidhi Sabha who left for heavenly abode earlier this week.
The 150-year-old organization, which has played a transformative role in nation-building, also announced a significant expansion of its scholarship program under the Arya Pragati Scholarship Scheme, extending educational support to deprived and meritorious students across India.
Mr. Arya further emphasized that this initiative is a first step towards empowering the next generation, adding,“We have initiated the first step towards youthful growth. This movement of education and empowerment must now grow multifold.”
His Excellency Shri Acharya Devvrat, Governor of Gujarat and Maharashtra, visited the congregation where several discussions were held for the delegates and participants. Value-based family; A sign of a new crisis; Mobile Scrolling; Increasing regionalism in the name of language; The growing network of IVF centers and No Child Policy were some of the most important subjects were discussed today. Students from various Arya Sabha schools and allied educational institutes performed and showcased their talent in different fields of sports, physical strength, Vedic knowledge amongst others.
Supported by the government of Delhi, the ceremony will witness the presence of several eminent dignitaries, including His Excellency Mr. Dharam Gokhool, the Former President of Mauritius; Mr. Chan Santokhi, former President of Suriname; and Dr. Arvin Boolell, Minister of Agro-Industry, Government of Mauritius, Swami Brahmaviharidas, BAPS Hindu Temple, Abu Dhabi, UAE; Hon’ble Home Minister Shri Amit Shah; Hon’ble Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh; His Excellency Shri Acharya Devvrat, Governor of Gujarat and Maharashtra; Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Yogi Adityanath; Chief Minister of Delhi Smt.
