Sardardham Extends ₹5 Crore Higher Education Assistance to 1,150 Meritorious Students
As part of its efforts towards social upliftment and harmony, Sardardham has been working to provide higher education assistance to meritorious and economically needy students from all communities and sections of Gujarat through the “Dr. Chitranjanbhai Patel (USA) Higher Education Assistance Scheme.”
For the academic year 2026-27, a total of 1,150 students will receive higher education assistance amounting to ₹5 crore under the scheme. Students pursuing various higher education courses are being provided assistance based on their academic merit and educational requirements.
The course-wise distribution of students is as follows: 205 students in Medical, 661 students in Engineering / IIT / Architecture, 29 students in Pharmacy, 31 students in other Science streams, and 224 students in BCA / other General streams. The initiative has received valuable support from several donors, including Shri Chimanbhai J. Agrawal, Dr. K. R. Shroff Foundation, AIA CSR Foundation, Meghmani Family and Shri Poonamchandbhai Patel, among others.
Higher Education Assistance Cheque Distribution Programme
The Higher Education Assistance Cheque Distribution Programme held on Saturday, 29 August 2026, at 2:00 PM at Sardardham, Ahmedabad.Students and their parents attended the programme, where 1,150 selected students will be presented education assistance cheques as per the amount determined on the basis of merit, from the total Rs. 5 crore assistance fund.
The primary objective of Sardardham is to provide opportunities and encouragement for higher education to meritorious and economically needy students from all sections of society. Through this education assistance scheme, Sardardham aims to give students a new direction and greater opportunities to fulfil their academic aspirations and contribute to the development of society and the nation.
